| Pixels Art Workshop Resources | Title: Never Resize. |
Why
we can't resize, This is a question I did ask in the help forum to
find if there was a way to resize without having soft edge. Mark aka
"MarkDu" from Australia gave me a very good explanation and here what he
said: I
think what's happening is that your image object has transparent areas
filling up the bounding box of the object and when you resize by any
method, PI mixes your original pixels with those next to it (i.e. some
that were originally fully transparent) to create the resized image. Thanks Mark for your explanation. |
Here is what will happen
if you did made something to big or to small, in this case here, my hat
is to small for the doll. |
Let's see, if I resize
the hat to fit her head, what will happen? Hum looks a bit blurry isn't
it. Scroll down, we will look at the before and after in zoom. |
| Before: Look at the hat, all the pixels are nice and clean. |

| After: Now, let's look at the hat after we did resize. Yuck!! We got extra pixels around that are partly transparent and on top of that it did change the pixels color not only on the edge but also inside. |

Is there a way to fix it. Unfortunately, no. I have try many ways and it
is faster to redo one the correct size. So this is very important, when
making an object that you want to use with an other object that you
already have, you make sure you have the right measurements. The only
transform tool, we are able to use, are
