If you haven't done any pixels art cross stitch
before, you may want to check first the
Pixels Art, Cross Stitch here
before you attempt this one. Here is the outline, you may right click and save as on your computer. |

Open in the image in your work
space, make sure it is on a transparent background and convert to RGB
color. This is what it look like when zoom at 800%. |
![]() |
This is the color palette I have use for the strawberry, you may use this one if you want to or make your own. |
![]() |
This is the color palette I have use for the leaf and flower and my outline, you may use this one or make your own. |
![]() |
Once you have your color palette
set up, you need to prepare your stitch square before you begin to make
your cross stitch. The lighter color always goes inside and the darker outside to give some depth to our stitch. |
![]() |
Ok, now we are ready to have fun. Zoom in at 800% or what ever you prefer. Copy and paste your cross stitch square onto your canvas. But do not merge them. |
![]() |
I did start working on the flowers. Duplicate as much of you need and position them like in the example on the left. |
![]() |
Next, I start working on the leaf, the example on the left is the top right of the image. Position like the example on the left. |
![]() |
Moving down on the right side I continue to duplicate and position. |
![]() |
Moving along to the left side of
the image I continue to duplicate and position.
Great all our leaf and flowers are done now. You may select all leafs and flowers and merge as a single object. Make sure your other pixels square and your outline isn't merge with it. |
![]() |
Now we have to duplicate our
strawberry cross stitch square and position like in the example on the
left.
Once you are done, you should have use all your cross stitch square, if you have left over, delete it. Select all your object in the layer manager except the outline. Merge as single object. Make sure your outline is not merge with it. |
![]() |
Select you outline and bring it
on top. Now you see where some colored pixels fall off outside your pixels outline. We are going to erase them. Select your image below the outline, select your eraser, don't forget to set it up for pixels work. Erase everything that is outside your outline edge of your image. |
![]() |
It should look like the example on the left. Great now deselect and save your work. |
![]() |
Cool we are almost done. Now let's select your outline. Choose your fill bucket and change the color to your darkest brown color of your flowers, and fill in. Deselect and save your work. |
![]() |
Now we are going to select with the magic wand the inside white part of our image, convert to an object. |
![]() |
Fill in with the fill bucket with a black color. Once done deselect your object. |
![]() |
This is what it should look like. Hang on we're almost there. |
![]() |
Select your outline again, Choose
your paint brush, click on edit mode and paint around the center of the
flowers with a medium red of the color palette we have. Look at the example of the left. Change your color for black, paint the leafs outline black but not around the flowers and the flowers center. Now for the last part of the outline that is left for the strawberry, choose the darker red and paint the rest of the outline around your strawberry. Click out of edit mode. Save your work. |
![]() |
Ok, now the only thing left to do
is the highlight reflection. To make our highlight reflection, we are going to use the paint brush. Let's choose our golden yellow from our color palette and we are going to paint in mode. You may at this point use the straight line option for a better control and sure is faster too. Use the example on the left to paint your reflection. Once done click out of mode and save your work. |
![]() |
This is what it should like. Cool
hey. Now hurry, hide your background and save your final image as a
transparent gif format. Splendid |
![]() |
You could make some framing
around it too. Or put them up in a basket. Click here if you would like to see more example of Strawberry Pixels Art examples. |
