Open your easy palette and under the Image Enhancement/ brush/ Cloud pen, choose the Art 2, double click on it to make it active.

Add this setting to your easy palette.

Open your easy palette, go to the Libraries, click on the + path sign to open the drop menu, click on Z-merge and double click on the Girl, we are going to use her to practice painting our hair.

This will bring her on your workspace.

This is how big she is. The parts all are path object and group, we need to ungroup them, at the top bar go under Object and select ungroup by clicking on it.

Go under Object again and click on deselect all object. or just click on the base canvas to deselect it.

Now with your pick tool, select the hair piece and delete it. While you're at it pay a close attention on which layer the parts were place. This will give you an idea how to put yours.

If you want a faster way to deleted them, use the layer manager and select all hair pieces in there and deleted.

Lol, she doesn't look bad without hair, but definitely can use some.

Here we are going to select the eyebrow, since am making her brown hair, the eyebrow need to be brown for a more natural look.

Don't forget this is a path, in order to change the color, click on the path and change the color there.

Now this is done, select all object and group them.

We are going to resize it down, I did resize down at 280x374 pixels. Now position her near the bottom and center it manually, don't need to be exact. Now that we have resize her we could merge all object as a single object.

Let's try our cloud brush, click on your cloud brush from the tool brush panel. If you have already set your setting, the brush should be already set up for you to use.

Click on the mode paint as Object. We are going to do one small stroke. Just like in the image on the left.

No... We are not going to make her a bear, do not worry lol.

Click out of mode and send this layer to back, just like in the image on the left.

I haven't mention it yet, but do save your work often as a ufo format while we are working on it.

Great, now click on mode again, let's try and other stroke same way from top going down, but just a bit longer.

Cool isn't it. Let's move on.

Ok, don't forget that you still need to be on mode.

On the image on the left is the way I did my strokes, start building the style of your hair.

I only did her a simple hair style, so it will be easier to get the hang of it before you try a more complex hair style.

From the image above as I did define the base of the hair style, here I build the hair layers working on my way up, but my stroke are always top to down.

Don't forget that you are painting in mode here, this is very important.

Remember to follow the hair movement, some are straight and some do have a C shape movement more or less pronounce.

Continue until you are satisfied with your hair style and make sure you don't see any skin, sh is to young to have lose some hair yet.

Once you are done, click out of mode.

Select the focus, click on option set your level at 2. This will Empasis your hair stroke and make it more of a natural hair look.

Click ok.

This is my finish look, isn't she georgous.

Try to her different hair style, go wild and give some mesh color, red green.

Play with the setting a bit, you may be surprise with the hair string you will find. I'll let you discover it.

If you have any question or need some help don't hesitated to contact me. I'd like very much to hear some feedback if it was at all helpful to you and would love to see your result, I invite you to post it in the painting forum at The PhotoImpact International Board.
