Before you begin, make sure that you have done the Tutorial " Pixel Art Tools In PhotoImpact " and knows all the setting, cause they are always the same and save them in your Easy Palette for a fast access.

Remember, no soft edge, none whatsoever.

Open a white canvas size 247 x 233 pixels or what ever size you would like your room to be.

Zoom in at 800% or what ever you are comfortable to work with.

Make a black pixel frame around it.

Select your paint brush, click on mode, with the pixels setting. Paint a vertical line about 92 pixels long. This will make our wall corner.

Click out of mode and center horizontally, align to the top.

Save your work in ufo format.

Optional, you may want to use your grid line if you want here.

Select your paint brush again, click on mode and draw two pixels horizontally. See the example on the left.

Click out of mode and save your work.

Select your paint brush again, click on mode.

Follow the example on the left.

Once done, click out of mode and save.

Follow the example on the  left.
Follow example on the left.
Do this step until you meet your frame.
Select the full bottom line of your wall, example on the left.

At this point, you could merge your selection as a single object.

Duplicate, flip vertically and position for the other side bottom wall.  Look at the example on the left.

Save your work.

If you haven't merge your lines as a single object, you should do so.

Look at the above example carefully, we are going to add baseboard to the bottom of our wall. Select the last bottom line you just did made, duplicate and position, follow the diagram above.

Check along the frame to make sure you are not missing some pixels, if so make them in mode, click out of mode and save your work.
Deselect all objects. With the magic wand, select on side of the wall at a time. With the fill bucket, choose a light shade color of your choice and fill in.

For the second wall, repeat the step above, but this time, with a darker color shade.

Great!!, Don't you wish our wall would get painted that fast, I sure do. loll

Follow the instruction in the image above.

Now, our room is done, save your work.

Very nice, but how about some design on our walls and floor.

Follow me, I'll show you what else you could do.

You could make some stripes, any kind of them, on the left this is just one example which picks up the color of the floor we already had. I did put a lighter shade on the larger stripes.

Or you may make little square 2 x 2 pixels, duplicate to make one row, select all your little squares and merge as single object and duplicate and so on until your wall is completely done.

Always start making your design at the longest part of the wall, after you only need to erase what you don't need.

Looks, pretty cool hey! Up to you to make the design you want on your wall and the color you would like to have it, after all, this is your room.

What? Oh yes, the floor. Of course, let's have a look at some variation for your floor, follow me below.

You could make yourself a nice wooden plank floor.
Just duplicate one of the bottom of your wall and position on the floor, make at least 3 wood plank, color those line with a dark color. Fill with a medium color of your choice. Choose a darker tone shade and paint some shadows in on the wood. Then select a light color shade and paint some highlight on your wood plank.

Once those three wood plank is done, select them all and merge as single object. Duplicate and position until your floor is complete. Now you only need to do some wood plank division in some of them to make it look more realistic. Hum! Don't you love those wood floor. Well we cannot have wood floor everywhere, we need more variation, so follow me below.

How about a lovely shiny tile floor. This one is easy to do, you have probably done the first project, our famous block, well this is the top of it. But let's make it faster by just selecting the bottom of our wall, and duplicate until one side is completed. Then select them all and flip them horizontally and position them. How lovely, now that we have our grid floor, select all your grid floor, color it with a light tone color. Deselect. Then select all the inside of your squares grid on the floor and fill with a darker tone shade than your lines.

Yes Yes I'm getting there. The nice wax floor! How did I do it. First, select the lasso tool, and make your multi selection, once done, convert to an object. Duplicate and fill with a lighter tone shade than your outline from the floor.  Now you need to fade them out at the same angle. Once done, select your pick tool, and add some transparency, until you are satisfied with it. Your done, you have just wax your floor.

Follow me below.

Here we have a tile floor, but colored differently, just like checkers.

Let follow me down, we will have a look at a carpet floor.

This is our last example. Hum, I love the feeling of a warm carpet in winter time under my feet.

To make a carpet look, this is very easy to do. Select your floor area, once that is done. Select your paint brush, choose your color, in your brush panel, under color, select multi color, Set the Delta Hue at 0, the Delta Saturation at 0 and the Delta Brightness between 5 to 7, but not higher than 7, it wouldn't look a pixels art anymore if you do. % is the lowest I use depending of the color and to still keep the carpet look realistic.

Well that's it, you have a lots of way to decorated your room. Let your imagination fly and create the room of your dreams.

Hope you did learn something new and had as much fun as I did had to write the tutorial for you.
